About the Role
Ferrari of Ann Arbor is seeking an accomplished General Manager to lead all aspects of a luxury automotive dealership. The GM will own the dealership's operating performance, develop a high-performing leadership team, and deliver an exceptional client experience consistent with the standards expected of a premium automotive brand. The GM will lead strategic planning, annual budgets, and operating forecasts while assuming full accountability for dealership profitability across sales, finance, service, parts, and other departments. Responsibilities include overseeing new and pre-owned vehicle sales, inventory strategy, and fixed operations, as well as ensuring compliant finance and insurance operations. This role requires building lasting relationships with clients, collectors, community partners, and manufacturer representatives, including personally assisting with high-priority client matters. The GM will also oversee client events, marketing, and CRM practices while maintaining effective relationships with Ferrari representatives and ensuring compliance with all dealer agreements and manufacturer programs. The GM will review financial statements, departmental KPIs, inventory aging, and operating risks, implementing corrective actions as needed, while protecting dealership assets and maintaining appropriate internal controls and risk-management practices.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
Significant automotive retail leadership experience, including successful responsibility for dealership or multi-department financial performance
Proven experience managing luxury or ultra-luxury automotive operations; Ferrari or comparable high-performance marque experience strongly preferred
Demonstrated command of dealership financial statements, P&L management, budgeting, inventory economics, and variable and fixed operations
Strong record of developing management teams, improving operational performance, and delivering exceptional customer satisfaction
Executive-level communication, negotiation, judgment, discretion, and relationship-management skills
Proficiency with dealership management systems, CRM platforms, financial reporting, and performance analytics
Ability to meet applicable licensing, driving, and employment requirements
Preferred to Stand Out
Five or more years of senior dealership management experience, including General Manager or comparable executive responsibility
Established relationships within the luxury automotive, collector, or performance-car community
Experience with manufacturer relations, premium client events, and high-value vehicle inventory management
Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
