About the Role
Ferrari of Ann Arbor is seeking an experienced, factory-trained automotive technician to deliver precise diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs in a premium service environment. The successful candidate will combine advanced technical expertise with exceptional workmanship, disciplined documentation, and respect for the vehicles and clients entrusted to the dealership. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing scheduled maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and mechanical and electrical repairs in accordance with Ferrari service procedures. The technician will diagnose complex vehicle concerns using approved diagnostic equipment, service engines, transmissions, drivetrains, suspension, braking, electrical, and electronic systems, and complete repair orders accurately with thorough documentation. The role also involves communicating repair findings and completion estimates to the Service Advisor and Service Manager, conducting quality-control inspections and road tests, maintaining current knowledge of Ferrari technical bulletins and service campaigns, and supporting apprentices or junior technicians when assigned.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
Current Ferrari factory technician training or approval appropriate to the role, with documented credentials available for verification.
Substantial professional automotive diagnostic and repair experience, preferably in a Ferrari-authorized dealership or premium performance-vehicle service environment.
Strong proficiency with modern vehicle electronics, diagnostic software, service manuals, and precision mechanical work.
Ability to interpret technical information, diagnose root causes, and complete repairs accurately and efficiently.
Valid driver's license and ability to meet dealership driving and insurance requirements.
Strong attention to detail, professional communication, sound judgment, and a commitment to client confidentiality.
Ability to perform essential workshop duties safely, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Preferred to Stand Out
Advanced Ferrari factory training or Master Technician-level credentials, where applicable.
ASE certifications, relevant automotive technical education, or equivalent professional training.
Experience with Ferrari hybrid systems, high-performance drivetrains, or specialized diagnostic and repair procedures.
Experience mentoring technicians and contributing to workshop quality and process improvements.
